Genshin Impact Anemo – All 10 Characters, Elemental Resonances and Reactions

Genshin Impact Anemo

Anemo is one of the seven Genshin Impact Elements and the first one the Traveller can acquire. It comes with the natural vision of Wind.

The associated Archon of this element is Barbatos, whose domain is Mondstadt.

Genshin Impact Anemo Elemental Resonance

If there are two Anemo characters in the same team, the Elemental Resonance of two-Anemo elements appears.

Impetuous Winds: Decreases Stamina Consumption by 15%. Increases Movement SPD by 10%. Shortens Skill CD by 5%.

Genshin Impact Anemo Elemental Reactions

Anemo has Elemental Reactions with the other four elements, including Electro, Pyro, Hydro, and Cryo.

Depending on the particular talent, it can swirl or absorb the element or do both.

Swirl

Deals Elemental DMG of the involved element while spreading the involved elemental status to nearby enemies.

Many Anemo characters and enemies also have the following skills:

Elemental Absorption

Absorbs an element and becomes infused with that element, dealing damage of that type. The absorbed element can trigger further reactions, including Swirl.

Displacement (Crowd Control)

The ability to displace mobs of entities by knocking them back or pulling them in. Many Anemo users especially have the ability to create Vacuum Fields that pull in enemies within a radius.

Genshin Impact Anemo Status

Similar to the Geo status, the Anemo status is ephemeral and will either react immediately with pre-applied elements, or disappear instantly after application if no other elements are applied to an enemy.

However, the Anemo Hypostasis applies a long-lasting Anemo status to itself while its core is exposed, and unlike Persistent Geo on Geo Hypostasis and Planet Befall — it can react with other elements to trigger Swirl, albeit it has an Internal Cooldown which disallows it from activating Swirl again before a set amount of time passes.

Additionally, Jean’s Elemental Burst — Dandelion Breeze — continuously and periodically applies the Anemo status to characters that stand in the talent’s AoE Dandelion Field up until the effect’s dissipation. This Anemo status effect does not behave any differently from a normal Anemo status effect, and will disappear momentarily after application until the next periodic application occurs by the talent.

FAQs on Genshin Impact Anemo Element

Anemo is an element that’s good on its own but is best utilized in tandem with other elements. Multiple characters in the game utilize this ability, but one of the most important of all is the player character.

Xiao

Instead of using a special move, he simply puts on the Yaksha Mask, granting him special abilities, including improved jumping, increased AoE, and most importantly, converting all DMG to Anemo DMG for as long as Xiao is in action. All in all, these skills make Xiao the strongest Anemo character in Genshin Impact.

The Anemo Hypostasis is one of the elemental bosses in Genshin Impact. Holding the power of wind, the Anemo Hypostasis can be tricky to beat. Let’s take a look at where to find the Anemo Hypostasis, which characters to use, and how to defeat it.

No. Cryo slimes are immune to Frozen, but they can be wet. This may occur from contact with Hydro slimes, Hydro-based attacks, and rain. When attacked with Anemo they will swirl Hydro (in preference) initially until that status is dispelled, after which they then swirl with Cryo.
