Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters – Best 36 Female and Male with 4 Rating

There is a total of 37 four-star characters in Genshin Impact. They are categorized into different elements, with each character belonging to one of the seven Genshin Impact elements and wielding one of the five Genshin Impact weapons.

Check out this Genshin Impact 4 star characters list.

This ultimate guide for Genshin Impact 4 star characters includes rankings for each 4-star character, ranked rarity, element, weapon type, bonus stats, tier, & ★4 characters.

4-star characters are much easier for players to get in the game. You can even buy them with the Starlitter.

But Genshin Impact 5-star characters can be obtained with only Events and Wishes in the game.

Genshin Impact 4-Star Characters Tier List

Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters List

There are seven elements or visions in Genshin Impact. One character has only one vision, except Traveler can switch between Geo and Anemo elements.

So we make the lists by the character’s element – Anemo, Cryo, Electro, Geo, Hydro, Pyro, and Dendro.

Right now, no character gets the Dendro element in the game.

Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters with Anemo Vision

Sucrose is one of the best Sub-DPS 4-star characters in the game. She is an excellent alternative to characters such as Jean or Kazuha.

Many Melt or Vaporize compositions have Sucrose in them because her Swirl can easily add up to 40 percent more damage.

Additionally, she can cluster together enemies for other characters’ big bursts.

Faruzan

Sayu has good Elemental DPS potential, but like a few other four-star characters, she also comes with healing options.

You can stack Sayu with damage and still benefit from her heal enough to not require another support in your team, which is handy.

To get the most out of Sayu as a physical DPS, we recommend running her in a superconduct team with Cryo characters like Kaeya, and Electro characters like Fischl or the Electro Traveler.

Lynette

Shikanoin Heizou is an Inazuman detective who works for the Tenryou Commission. He was first mentioned in Kamisato Ayaka’s voice-overs and by his distant elder cousin Kano Nana, and is later mentioned by other characters and on Inazuma’s bulletin boards.

Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters with Cryo Vision

Kaeya is an excellent melee Cryo 4-star character. His abilities make water traversal easy. Players can make full use of Kaeya to include him in a team with Diluc, Hu Tao, or Klee

There have been reports that using Kaeya as the main DPS can produce decent results, but ultimately, he still gets overshadowed by even 4-star characters who are DPS-based.

At best, Kaeya acts like the perfect support for a Diluc melt composition. Beyond that, though, other Cryo users simply deal with better Cryo status at longer ranges or larger areas of effect.

Rosaria is an excellent alternative to 5-star Cryo characters like Eula or Ayaka.

Wielding a polearm, Rosaria deals more overall damage than specifically physical damage.

Rosaria is a viable candidate for best support to work with Pyro team members, thanks to her persistent off-field Elemental Burst that continuously deals cryo damage.

Overall, Rosaria is a solid addition to your party if you are looking for a Cryo DPS with a wide AoE.

Speaking of dealing with Cryo status in a large area, Chongyun is one of the best 4-star characters.

Working with characters such as Tartaglia or Diluc, Chongyun can apply the Cryo element excellently. However, his Elemental Burst, while damaging, is too small and can miss a lot.

Players mostly include him in the party as support for Melt or Frozen compositions, because his Elemental Skill is superb.

Layla

Mika

Charlotte

Diona is an excellent 4-star support character in Genshin Impact.

She will provide your party with excellent support, especially because it forms a cat-shaped shield around her character when her elemental burst is used.

One of her talents also lets her toss out a special potion that deals with a massive amount of AoE Cryo DMG. This is called Drunken Mist, and it deals with a constant flow of DMG to all enemies in her AoE.

This also serves as a healing mechanism for your party. Diona works best in a team compilation alongside other Cryo units such as Chongyun or Shenhe.

Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters with Electro Vision

Fischl is a 4-star Bow character in Genshin Impact with the best physical DPS at C6 variants.

Actually, most of the other 4-star DPS at constellation six is none other than Fischl. At that point in her progression, her physical attack output is so high she essentially becomes a machine gun.

Of course, she doesn’t even have to be C6 in order to shine; she does well as electro support at lower constellations.

Razor is one of the best physical damage dealers in Genshin Impact. Despite being a claymore user, his attacks are quick, so there is no need to worry about long cooldown times.

Many fans say that he is an excellent alternative to Xiao.

He’s one of the few “selfish” DPS characters in the game, but worth the price of ascension and leveling. Just slap a 4-piece Gladiator’s Finale set on him and let him rip.

Beidou is one of the most under-utilized characters in Genshin Impact. She can function as both a tank and a DPS, wielding both an Electro vision and a claymore.

When her elemental burst is activated, Beidou unleashes a shield with 250% Electro DMG Absorption efficiency, and a massive DMG bonus is rewarded upon two triggers of this effect.

This shield also deals damage to all opponents in the AoE upon activation.

Beidou can work as both a DPS and a supporting character. She is flexible to many team compilations but works best with Pyro characters such as Bennett or Xiangling.

In Genshin Impact, Kujou Sara is a 4 Stars rarity Electro character currently in the A tier.

Sara dashes backward and shrouds herself in the Crowfeather Cover. In this state, Sara’s aimed shot time is decreased by 60%.

Additionally, an aimed shot will consume the Crowfeather Cover and leave a Crowfeather behind where the shot hits.

Lisa is great for climbing, and for those who crave a witch-type character (even though she’s a librarian).

However, her attacks are simply too slow or too weak. She does Electro damage, which is one of the weakest elements in the game.

Her abilities don’t synergize well with her playstyle, since they require her to be in the thick of things.

Kuki Shinobu is the deputy leader of the Arataki Gang. She wears a unique mask and is rather stoic.

Few people know why a talent of this caliber would run away to join a street gang. Even fewer people know what she hides under her mask.

At least, that’s what everyone says on the surface. Although… there are probably more people in the know.

Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters with Geo Vision

For a little bit of everything, one can’t go wrong with Noelle. She’s a tank, a healer, and a DPS; she truly lives up to her title as a dutiful maid should.

If given the right defense-centric artifacts at constellation six, Noelle can become one heck of a beast, since her ATK would scale off her DEF.

Players shouldn’t be surprised if they see a level 80 or 90 Noelle in the late game.

Gorou might be an amazing support for Geo teams, but he’s somewhat useless in all other compositions. His banner does not benefit non-Geo teams, since DEF is not a useful stat outside of Geo characters.

Gorou scales off of DEF, so this artifact set is an obvious choice, since it provides a whopping 54% DEF and 24% Geo DMG Bonus at peak performance. When Gorou’s Elemental Burst is not active, he only gets the 2-piece passive, which is still great at 30% DEF.

Ningguang is one of the most sought-after characters in the entire game. With the most recent buffs to geo damage, Zhongli, Albedo, and Ningguang (heck, even Noelle) are on a roll.

This is especially true for Ningguang since she just became a part of the endgame META as a sought-after DPS in domains.

She deals immense Geo DMG to opponents, and her Jade Screen shield is an excellent defense for oncoming attacks.

She is easily one of the best long-ranged characters in the game, and she shoots gems that deal Geo DMG with her normal attack.

Yun Jin shines in the support role thanks to her unique abilities which provide strong attack boosts to her party.

Her best ability is her elemental burst, Cliffbreaker’s Banner, which increases the amount of normal damage each party member deals.

She is a good candidate for a second Geo character with Zhongli, especially on teams that want to run Geo resonance. Unlike Gorou who only really works for pure Geo teams, she can provide a bit of extra damage as well as provide Geo Resonance for non-Geo teams.

Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters with Hydro Vision

Barbara is a good 4-star healer that players can get in Genshin Impact, if you don’t have any 5-star characters. She does heal consistently, but does it slower compared to Qiqi or Jean.

Barbara also has no other purpose than being a healer; her attacks are too feeble and she’s too slow on the hydro application to deal Frozen status frequently.

She can function as a janky DPS, thanks to vaporize reactions.

As a sub-DPS, Xingqiu shines bright. He’s considered one of the highest damage dealers, right up there with Ningguang.

He works well with Cryo characters, such as Chongyun. Xingqiu also works excellently with Pyro characters, such as Diluc, Xiangling, or Bennett.

He serves to boost elemental reactions, such as Frozen or Vaporize. On his own, he can also deal impressive amounts of hydro damage.

Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters with Pyro Vision

Amber is the lowest-rating 4-star character. She’s been at the bottom of the heap ever since the game began and is crowned as the worst character when it comes to damage.

Still, she does have her uses, such as lighting up braziers from afar if players are too lazy to get close.

Yanfei is a 4-star character and quite a capable Pyro damage dealer. She is the closest 4-star alternative for Klee right now.

As usual, Yanfei can shine if players provide her with adequate support for characters such as Xingqiu or Kaeya.

Getting Pyro vision in the game, Yanfei is viable as a DPS carry. But she requires hydro or cryo support to function as a fully-fledged DPS.

Granted, most pyro characters (with the exception of Amber and Xinyan) will excel if given a proper reaction setup.

Thoma’s nature as a support character means he works well with nearly any other composition.

His shield provides DPS support for strong attackers and covers healers while they restore the party, so the main thing to consider is what Reactions he can help trigger with his Burst.

Despite being the only Pyro Claymore user aside from Diluc, Xinyan remains as unpopular as ever. It’s most likely due to her abilities, which are all over the place.

She needs to have a high defense for her Elemental Skill, while her Elemental Burst is a split of physical and pyro damage.

It’s hard to build her one way without pulling away from the other aspects. But her C4 variants work well in a team with Eula included.

Bennett is one of the best overall 4-star characters. This character is an absolute tank.

He is essential to most team compilations in Genshin Impact. That’s why you see him included in most team compositions.

He’s the best support there is; he can buff damage and heal at the same time. Meanwhile, thanks to his Elemental Skill, he can also function as a DPS, especially with Melt teams.

His luck might be down in the mud, but Benny boy has a special place in every Genshin Impact player’s heart.

Xiangling is one of the strongest and most flexible Sub DPS characters in the game.

You want to run Energy Recharge Sands with an ATK weapon, and ATK Sands with an Energy Recharge weapon.

FAQs about Genshin Impact 4 Star Characters

Razor is one of the best physical damage dealers in Genshin Impact. Despite being a claymore user, his attacks are quick, so there is no need to worry about long cooldown times. Many fans say that he is an excellent alternative to Xiao.

Both are 4-star characters.

It really depends on what enemy you fighting, for example: if you fighting some boss you should use Barbara, and if you fighting some basic enemy use Sucrose.

If you use a Cryo character and you want to freeze use Barbara; but if you want someone similar to Venti,  you should use Sucrose as her elemental burst and skill create something similar to vent’s burst.

Rosaria as a newer and stronger character will definitely do it. but Kaeya has efficient charge attacks and his ult does more damage, right?

Kaeya’s charge attack seems 10% more efficient. Haven’t got the chance to compare their ult, I would guess Rosaria does more if the enemy doesn’t leave her circle.

Though Noelle deals heavy damage and mostly penetrates all elements except itself. – Noelle heals the entire party while Razor doesn’t.

Razor’s DPS is not locked by his elemental burst and it adds more to his overall damage with both his Physical and Electro damage kicking in against your enemies.

Klee is the main DPS, while Xiangling is typically a sub DPS.

They have different roles so can’t really be compared. It does depend on what other characters you have.

Xiangling is the best hero in the game for exploiting Bennet’s burst and other temporary damage boosts (like Kazuha’s from swirling an element).

Xingqiu is a 4-star Hydro Sword character in Genshin Impact.

Yun Jin is a 4-star Geo Polearm character in Genshin Impact Version 2.4.
