Elemental Skill

Only an unwavering flame can cleanse the impurities of this world.

Hu Tao consumes a set portion of her HP to knock the surrounding enemies back and enter the Paramita Papilio state.

Charged Attacks apply the Blood Blossom effect to the enemies hit.

Increases Hu Tao’s resistance to interruption.

Blood Blossom

Enemies affected by Blood Blossom will take Pyro DMG every 4s. This DMG is considered Elemental Skill DMG.

Each enemy can be affected by only one Blood Blossom effect at a time, and its duration may only be refreshed by Hu Tao herself.

Paramita Papilio ends when its duration is over, or Hu Tao has left the battlefield or fallen.

Spirit Soother

Spirit Soother

Elemental Burst

Commands a blazing spirit to attack, dealing Pyro DMG in a large AoE.

Upon striking the enemy, regenerates a percentage of Hu Tao’s Max HP. This effect can be triggered up to 5 times, based on the number of enemies hit.

Best Genshin Impact Hu Tao Builds

Hu Tao can be quite tricky to use especially if you’re not used to a character whose optimal damage comes from having her HP down to 50%. Thankfully there are characters like Zhongli and Diona who can provide ample shielding for Hu Tao.

Best Genshin Impact Hu Tao Weapons

Hu Tao’s signature weapon, Staff of Homa, is going to be her best weapon. However, there are other contenders. Dragon’s Bane will really shine if you put Hu Tao in a Vaporize team composition with Xingqiu.

FAQs about Genshin Impact Hu Tao

Hu Tao is a female character. At first glance, Hu Tao appears to be a quirky and cheerful girl. She enjoys pranking people and despises sitting around and doing nothing, as she wishes to live her life to the fullest.

Approximately 19 years old. The age of Hu Tao is not obviously stated in the game. Her birthday is on July 15th

Yes, Hu Tao is still one of the best DPS characters in Genshin Impact.

Her overwhelming Pyro damage and massive Elemental Burst AOE can destroy even the strongest foes, leaving her at the top of the charts when it comes to pure DPS.

Pity carries over when banners rotate, and every player gets a 5-star by the time their pity reaches 90.

If a player’s last 5-star summon on the character event banner was a standard banner character, their next 5-star is guaranteed to be the featured character.

Since Hu Tao is Zhongli’s boss at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Zhongli was assumed to have a relationship with Hu Tao.

The ZhongTao ship is generally seen as an example of the common “tall boyfriend x short/petite girlfriend couple” motif in films, mangas, animes, light novels.

To that end, Hu Tao is notably more “talented” than Diluc. She has no wasted talents at all. Meanwhile, Diluc’s first passive talent does not help him much.

Moreover, Hu Tao’s Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill work so much better together compared to Diluc’s straightforward and unimaginative fire attacks.

Taoling is the femslash ship between Hu Tao and Xiangling from the Genshin Impact fandom.

As the previous Hu Tao banner recently came out, we expect miHoYo won’t give her a dedicated rerun for a while.

In fact, there have been no leaks or news to indicate that she will be available in the 2.5 and 2.6 banners.

IMHO, Hu Tao is the currently #1 DPS in the game, considering that she’s the “berserker” type (a.k.a the lower her HP, the higher her damage), and she’s also a Pyro element character, which is currently the best for elemental reactions (Melt and Vaporize can proc critical, unlike other reactions).

We’d recommend wishing for Hu Tao’s Constellation 1 instead if you’ve decided to go above and beyond her Constellation 0 kit (which you definitely don’t need to do).

Hu Tao is often regarded as one of Genshin Impact’s strongest characters, boasting extremely high damage thresholds and excellent elemental reactions alongside a fun playstyle and adorable personality.

Pretty good team actually! It depends, Mostly for Abyss it’s just meh. Eula and Hu Tao first of all should be separated, they both can nuke and both can DPS, one team for both of them is not the best (Only exception is, when you have another good DPS in the other team then both of them can work together as DPS).

Chongyun is an ideal party member for your Hu Tao team because he’s able to dish out Cryo damage quickly and easily. His Elemental Skill creates an AoE field which lets him deal Cryo damage with his attacks.

The best weapon for any Hu Tao build is Staff of Homa. No other weapon can compare to Homa’s peak damage output. The high 608 base damage and 66.2% crit damage bonus are perfect for her play style.

The best team composition for Hu Tao includes Xingqiu,

Xingqiu’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst both provide a slew of benefits to your team, even when you switch Xingqiu out with someone else.

He can provide healing as well as ease with creating reactions – especially with Hu Tao – letting you cause Vaporize reactions thanks to his Hydro and her Pyro.

His Burst also increases damage, making your Hu Tao even more of a powerhouse.

Both a solid Sub-DPS and Support depending on how you build him, Bennett is a great Pyro option for your Hu Tao team. He has fast attacks and his Skill charges quickly.

His Burst provides an attack boost and healing, which is great for a character like Hu Tao, who frequently has her HP dip to dangerously low levels as she attacks.

Bennett is also a Pyro character, which, when paired with another Pyro character such as Hu Tao, creates an Elemental Resonance effect from having two Pyro characters in the same party.

This increases the attack of your entire team by 25 percent, meaning your Hu Tao becomes even more powerful.

Another potential Cryo character for your team, Chongyun is a heavy-hitting claymore user with unique skills that he brings to the table.

Since he’s a four-star character, you can build him with constellations that decrease his skill cooldown times.

Chongyun is an ideal party member for your Hu Tao team because he’s able to dish out Cryo damage quickly and easily. His Elemental Skill creates an AoE field which lets him deal Cryo damage with his attacks.

Hu Tao’s best support is Xingqiu, despite the fact that he’s a Hydro character and Cryo characters can produce stronger Melt reactions with a Pyro user.

Xingqiu works well with Hu Tao, though, because his hydro application is second to none. His Elemental Burst does it with every attack.
