Geo is one of the seven Genshin Impact Elements and the second one the Traveler acquires. It comes with the Earth vision.
The associated Archon of this element is Morax, whose domain is Liyue.
Genshin Impact Geo Elemental Resonance
If there are two Geo characters in the same team, the Elemental Resonance of two-Geo elements appears.
Enduring Rock: Increases shield strength by 15%. Additionally, characters protected by a shield will have the following special characteristics: DMG dealt increased by 15%, and dealing DMG to enemies will decrease their Geo RES by 20% for 15s.
Genshin Impact Geo Elemental Reactions
Geo has the following Elemental Reactions with the other four elements, including Cryo, Pyro, Hydro, and Electro.
ut the reactions just come into one result – Crystallize, in all cases.
Crystallize
Absorbs the element and drops a crystal of that same element. The crystal will give an elemental shield. The shield absorbs all types of damage, but it protects more efficiently against the shield’s element.
Geo has a different status, characters, and enemies.
Genshin Impact Geo Status
An applied Geo status effect on a Wooden Shieldwall Mitachurl caused by Zhongli’s Elemental Burst Planet Befall. Geo will not normally show up as a status effect on an enemy if there is no other element pre-applied to it.
Similar to Anemo, Geo is ephemeral and will either react immediately with pre-applied elements or disappear instantly after application if no other elements are applied when applied to an enemy. However,
Geo Hypostasis, as well as Stonehide Lawachurl and Large Geo Slime whilst their shields, are active have a perpetual Geo status applied to them, but it cannot react with other elements to trigger Crystallize.
Another exception exists: Zhongli’s Elemental Burst, Planet Befall, is capable of applying a persistent Geo status effect for the duration of his Petrification.
Genshin Impact Geo Construct Talents
The following Talents apply the Geo status to its user and/or the active character.
Elemental Skill
Abiogenesis: Solar Isotoma
Albedo creates a Solar Isotoma using alchemy, which deals AoE Geo DMG on appearance.
Solar Isotoma
has the following properties:
- When opponents within the Solar Isotoma field take DMG, the Solar Isotoma will generate Transient Blossoms which deal AoE Geo DMG. DMG dealt scales off Albedo’s DEF.
- Transient Blossoms can only be generated once every 2s.
- When a character is located at the locus of the Solar Isotoma, the Solar Isotoma will accumulate Geo power to form a crystallized platform that lifts the character up to a certain height. Only one crystallized platform can exist at a time.
- Solar Isotoma is considered a Geo construct. Only one Solar Isotoma created by Albedo himself can exist at a time.
Hold to designate the location of the skill.
Elemental Skill

Every mountain, rock, and inch of land is filled with the power of Geo, but those who can wield such powers freely are few and far between.
Press

- If their maximum number hasn’t been reached, creates a Stone Stele.
- Creates a shield of jade. The shield’s DMG Absorption scales based on Zhongli’s Max HP.
- Deals AoE Geo DMG.
- If there are nearby targets with the Geo element, it will drain a large amount of Geo element from a maximum of 2 such targets. This effect does not cause DMG.
Stone Stele
When created, deals AoE Geo DMG.
Additionally, it will intermittently resonate with other nearby Geo constructs, dealing Geo DMG to surrounding opponents.
The Stone Stele is considered a Geo construct that can both be climbed and used to block attacks.
Only one Stele created by Zhongli himself may initially exist at any one time.
Jade Shield
Possesses 150% DMG Absorption against all Elemental and Physical DMG.
Characters protected by the Jade Shield will decrease the Elemental RES and Physical RES of opponents in a small AoE by 20%. This effect cannot be stacked.

Ushi will remain on the field and provide support in the following ways:
- Taunts surrounding opponents and draws their attacks.
- Inherits HP based on a percentage of Arataki Itto’s Max HP.
- When Ushi takes DMG, Arataki Itto gains 1 stack of Superlative Superstrength. Only 1 stack can be gained in this way every 2s.

FAQs on Genshin Impact Geo Element
Geo is a powerful and versatile element in Genshin Impact.
However, not everything about its capabilities makes sense in the world of the game.
In Genshin Impact, players have quite a variety of different elemental skills to choose from. These include Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, Dendro, Electro, Anemo, and Geo.
Zhongli is the undisputed best Geo character in Genshin Impact, providing a huge safety net for all your teams.
His shield is unparalleled, blocking extremely high amounts of damage and even negating the need for a healer in some cases.
To obtain the Traveler’s Geo abilities, the player will need to visit a Geo Statue of the Seven. Upon interacting with the statue, the player will automatically unlock the ability to swap between Geo and Anemo abilities.
Using a Hydro-based attack or stepping in water will inflict “Wet” on the target.
A Cryo attack would then cause the Freeze chain reaction, rendering them immobile for a time.
In this one case, using a Geo attack on a Frozen target would react and cause Shatter, dealing considerable damage and ending the chain.
Unfortunately, the Geo abilities are not as useful to the Traveler as the Anemo abilities, so the Geo build focuses on raw attack damage rather than Elemental Damage or Elemental Reactions.
To change your element you’ll need to head south and unlock a Statue of the Seven — anyone will do. When you unlock the statue you’ll see an option to “Resonate with Geo,” as pictured above. This is your option to change from Anemo to Geo.
Albedo, also known as the “Kreideprinz” is a playable Geo character in Genshin Impact.
As a Claymore and Geo element user, Itto has the potential to steal a spot in many parties if his abilities turn out to be powerful. Here’s everything we know about his release date and abilities.
Because they are Geo Constructs, the stone pillars will only take significant damage from Claymores and other Geo attacks. Use characters like Zhongli or Noelle to quickly destroy the pillars.
