Yelan is a 5-star character who debuted on her own banner in the first half of version 2.7.
Being a 5-star character, constellations might be hard to get unless you spend real money or saved a lot of Primogems for rolling.
Yelan will be available in the upcoming version 2.7, which is supposed to release in May 2022. Her wish banner will be available for the first half of Version 2.7.
Updated: You can get Yelan by pulling on the Discerner of Enigmas wish banner from May 31, 2022 to June 21, 2022. Yelan is a limited 5-Star character so this is the only way to get her.

Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 consecutive shots with a bow.
Charged Attack
Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG.
While aiming, flowing water will accumulate on the arrowhead. A fully charged torrential arrow will deal Hydro DMG.
Breakthrough
Yelan will enter a “Breakthrough” state after spending 5s out of combat, which will cause her next Charged Aimed Shot to have 80% decreased charge time, and once charged, she can fire a “Breakthrough Barb” that will deal AoE Hydro DMG based on Yelan’s Max HP.
Plunging Attack
Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Fires off a Lifeline that allows her to move rapidly, entangling and marking opponents along its path.
When this rapid movement ends, the Lifeline will explode, dealing Hydro DMG to the marked opponents based on Yelan’s Max HP.
Tap
Moves a certain distance forward swiftly.
Hold
Engages in continuous, swift movement, during which Yelan’s resistance to interruption is increased.
During this time, Yelan can control this rapid movement and end it by using this Skill again.
Additionally, each opponent marked by the Lifeline when it explodes grants Yelan a 34% chance to reset her Breakthrough state.
Deals AoE Hydro DMG and creates an “Exquisite Throw,” which aids her in battle.
Exquisite Throw
Follows the character around and will initiate a coordinated attack under the following circumstances, dealing Hydro DMG based on Yelan’s Max HP:
Can occur once every second when your active character uses a Normal Attack.
Will occur each time Yelan’s Lifeline explodes and hits opponents.
When the party has 1/2/3/4 Elemental Types, Yelan’s Max HP is increased by 6%/12%/18%/30%.
So long as an Exquisite Throw is in play, your own active character deals 1% more DMG. This increases by a further 3.5% DMG every second. The maximum increase to DMG dealt is 50%.
The pre-existing effect will be dispelled if Depth-Clarion Dice is recast during its duration.
Gains 25% more rewards when dispatched on a Liyue Expedition for 20 hours.
As always when a new character arrives alongside a signature weapon; consider pulling for that weapon instead of chasing Constellations. The Aqua Simulacra will no doubt be great for your Yelan build. Also, Sacrificial Bow users beware: think twice before getting Constellation Level 1, as this won’t add much to your build at all.
The Elemental Skill Lingering Lifeline gains an additional charge.
When Exquisite Throw conducts a coordinated attack, it will fire an additional water arrow that will deal 14% of Yelan’s Max HP as Hydro DMG.
This effect can trigger once every 1.8s.
Increases the Level of Depth-Clarion Dice by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Increases all party members’ Max HP by 10% for 25s for every opponent marked by Lifeline when the Lifeline explodes. A maximum increase of 40% Max HP can be attained in this manner.
Increases the Level of Lingering Lifeline by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
After using Depth-Clarion Dice, Yelan will enter the Mastermind state.
In this state, all of Yelan’s Normal Attacks will be special Breakthrough Barbs. These Breakthrough Barbs will have similar abilities to normal ones and the DMG dealt will be considered Charged Attack DMG, dealing 156% of a normal Breakthrough Barb’s DMG.
The Mastermind state lasts 20s and will be cleared after Yelan fires 5 arrows.
Very important to remember: one of Yelan’s passives, Turn Control, increases her max HP based on the number of Elemental types in the party. As both the Skill and Burst scale with her max HP, you definitely want the highest possible bonus of 30%.%.
On top of that, the passive Hydro Attacks from the Burst are triggered by Normal Attacks. So we’re looking for three different Elements and a Normal Attack DPS.
Hu Tao
Hu Tao as the main DPS will be able to deal high amounts of damage, while also applying continuous Pyro damage to enemies. However, she won’t be the one that will proc Vaporize, but Yelan.
Sucrose
Sucrose will be able to spread the Elements above while also buffing the Elemental damage of the team
Zhongli
Since the team doesn’t have a healer, having Zhongli on the team will allow the team to survive thanks to his shield. His Burst also has CC to make it easier to control and damage enemies.
Yelan is a great healer and a flexible unit that you can slot into any team as long as they need either a healer or a hydro sub DPS.
Building her is also really easy with her being able to function as long as you have the bare minimum for her.
Yelan’s signature 5-Star weapon is the Aqua Simulacra Bow.
Although it has a low base Attack compared to others, it offers a massive Critical Damage increase (almost 90% when fully ascended) and a large HP bonus. If you’re able to get it, it’s the number one choice here.
Unfortunately, it’s a bit hard to find a proper alternative as the Attack Power and Physical Damage Bows aren’t great on Yelan.
There’s only one Bow with HP% as a secondary stat, but it’s a 3-Star with a useless passive ability (the Recurve Bow). Those who don’t pull for 5-Star weapons will want to wait for the Version 2.7 event, which is rumored to introduce the Fading Twilight Bow as a reward.
If you’re unable to get Fading Twilight, the Sacrificial Bow is a good alternative. Energy Recharge is always helpful and it can’t hurt to use the Elemental Skill more often. If you want even more Energy Recharge and you’re able to get a high enough Critical Rate, the Favonius Warbow is also a great option.
As long as you stay close to your opponents, the 3-Star Slingshot is a decent free-to-play weapon. It’ll help you make the most of your Breakthrough shots.
Increases Critical Damage as a secondary stat. Also offers an HP bonus of up to 32% and increases the damage dealt by this weapon up to a maximum of 40% when enemies are nearby. This effect also works while the wearer is not on the battlefield.
A part of the “Millennial Movement” that wanders amidst the winds. Increases Elemental Mastery by 60/75/90/105/120.
When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” effect for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Farewell Song” increases Elemental Mastery by 100/125/150/175/200 and increases ATK by 20%/25%/30%/35%/40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type will not stack.
CRIT hits have a 60~100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12~6s.
Has three states, Evengleam, Afterglow, and Dawnblaze, which increase DMG dealt by 6%/10%/14%~12%/20%/28% respectively. When attacks hit opponents, this weapon will switch to the next state. This weapon can change states once every 7s. The character equipping this weapon can still trigger the state switch while not on the field.
Upon hit, Normal and Aimed Shot Attacks have a 50% chance to generate a Cyclone, which will continuously attract surrounding opponents, dealing 40~80% of ATK as DMG to these opponents every 0.5s for 4s. This effect can only occur once every 14~10s.
For every point of the entire party’s combined maximum Energy capacity, the Elemental Burst DMG of the character equipping this weapon is increased by 0.12~0.24%. A maximum of 40~80% increased Elemental Burst DMG can be achieved this way.
Yelan does not need to upgrade this weapon to damage out.
The best artifact set for Yelan is the four-piece Emblem of Severed Fate set, as it buffs her Elemental Burst damage by 25% of her Energy Recharge.
This artifact set becomes more valuable the more ER you’ve given her.
If you can’t get a hold of this set, though, you should instead put together two two-piece sets, depending on what your Yelan needs. Make sure her ER needs are met above all, and then focus on boosting her Crit Damage and Crit Rate, as well as her HP.
Yelan is a 5 star Hydro character and wields a bow. Her birthday is April 20th. Yelan releases on Genshin Impact Version 2.7, along with 4 star character Kuki Shinobu.
The Genshin Impact official Twitter has now released Yelan’s final appearance and, unfortunately, the mysterious woman in the Moonchase Festival trailer isn’t in fact Genshin Impact’s Yelan, and we’re not getting a Fu Hua lookalike or a playable young Madam Ping this time.
Genshin Impact 2.6 beta testers have discovered a new character named Yelan in the game files. The highly-anticipated five-star character is a bow user and belongs to the Hydro element.
To recap, Yelan will likely lead in the first half of Version 2.7 as the featured five-star with three unknown 4-stars. Kuki Shinobu is reportedly a four-star on the second banner, which adds evidence to Itto being the featured five-star in the second half.
