Check out this Genshin Impact Male characters list, including the newly released character in Genshin Impact – Wriothesley, who is a 5-star character.

Genshin Impact Male Characters List

There are seven elements or visions in Genshin Impact. One character has only one vision, except Traveler can switch between Geo and Anemo elements.

So we make the lists by the character’s element – Anemo, Cryo, Electro, Geo, Hydro, Pyro, and Dendro.

Right now, no character gets the Dendro element in the game.

Genshin Impact Male Characters with Anemo Vision

Despite being the mortal vessel of the Anemo Archon Barbatos, Venti doesn’t carry himself as you’d expect a high deity would.

Venti’s a tone-deaf free-spirited bard who spends his days drunk on wine. However, in battle, he’s a powerful 5-star Anemo bow character with skills that make fighting mobs much easier.

Whether you play Venti as a sub-DPS or support, he can dish out massive damage even at C0.

Kaedehara Kazuha is a wandering samurai of the once-famed Kaedehara Clan and a temporary crewmember of The Crux. He’s a really good friend to Beidou and he usually travels on her ship to visit Liyue.

He’s an Anemo Sword character whose main role is sub-DPS or support. His Elemental Burst summons Autumn Whirlwind and deals AoE Anemo DMG. If it comes into contact with other elements (except Geo), it’ll deal additional elemental DMG of that type.

Xiao might be one of the most popular male characters in the game. Xiao is an Adeptus, whose original name is Alatus, and the only known remaining member of the five Yakshas dispatched by Morax (or Zhongli). He resides in Wangshu Inn and loves food.

He’s a 5 star Anemo character who fights as a DPS role with polearm. Xiao is also one of the best Genshin Impact’s DPS, alongside Hu Tao, Ayaka, or Ganyu.

Xiao’s mysterious aura and his desire to protect people from demons make him a great male character. He can be too emo sometimes, but that’s a part of his charms.

Genshin Impact Male Characters with Cryo Vision

Kaeya is a 4-star Cryo character who fights with a Sword. He is the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius.

The first time you meet him is in the Prologue, Act I: The Outlander Who Caught the Wind. He’s sarcastic but kind, two characteristics that charmed us the first time we saw him.

Kaeya’s main role is sub-DPS for his Elemental Burst that summons 3 icicles that revolve around the character you’re using at the moment and deals Cryo DMG.

Talking about his looks, he’s one of the best male characters because of that eye patch that gives him a mysterious aura and his dark and long blue hair. We love long hair.

Chongyun is a 4-star Cryo claymore user who is also an exorcist from Liyue. Also known as “Popsicle Boy,” Chongyun has an incredibly positive attitude about life.

He is another introverted character who dislikes spicy foods and the sun. Chongyun stands at five feet four inches tall and strives to excel in his job of exorcising demonic spirits.

Chongyun’s abilities stem from natural talent, but he still spends a lot of time training.

Genshin Impact Boy Characters with Dendro Vision

Genshin Impact Boy Characters with Electro Vision

Despite being a 4-star character, Razor is often said to be on equal standing with his 5-star brethren in terms of gameplay.

He is a claymore wielder that deals high DPS, and has a fast energy recharge rate if paired with the correct build. His ultimate attack does not heavily rely on elemental damage alone, making him more versatile to use on various monsters.

While he’s a strong asset to your party, his story still leaves much to be desired. His personality is more or less the classic trope of a wild child who was raised by animals instead of humans.

While his short statements can be endearing, it unfortunately doesn’t allow us to learn more about him.

Genshin Impact Male Characters with Geo Vision

Albedo is the Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team of the Knights of Favonius. He holds an infinite desire to learn about the world of Teyvat with Sucrose.

He is a 5-star Geo character who wields a Sword for fights and acts as a support to his teammates.

His Elemental Skill makes exploring Teyvat a breeze as he can place an elevating Geo construct on the ground. At C0, Albedo shines as a support and a sub-DPS.

Also, he is very gentle and kind. We need nothing more to love him.

Our best shield character couldn’t be other than Zhongli, the Geo Archon, and the consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. He works alongside Hu Tao, two characters that charmed our hearts since the first time.

Zhongli is a 5-star Geo character who wields a Polearm as his weapon. He fights as a support role to utilise his skills to support his teammates. His Elemental Burst has a large AoE and even petrifies enemies. There’s nothing to hate about the Geo Archon- he’s the perfect package and one of the best Genshin boys!

Gorou is a 4-star Geo bow user whose bravery knows no bounds. He works alongside Sangonomiya Kokomi to defeat this injustice and we see him with Kazuha too at the end of Inazuma’s World Quest.

As a support character, Gorou uses his skills to buff the carry’s DEF and Geo DMG, making him ideal for teams with a Geo carry.

This Geo character is fairly easy to build and doesn’t require a lot of investment. Conveniently, when he reaches C4, he can heal active party members through his Elemental Burst. And the most important thing about Gorou is his fluffy ears. He’s a good boy.

Arataki Itto is the leader of the Arataki Gang. He is a playable 5-star Geo character that wields a big Claymore.

He’s best played as the main DPS in any party, especially in one with multiple Geo characters, making him one of the best male characters in Genshin Impact!

Arataki Itto has a high Base CRIT Rate and an Elemental Skill that taunts enemies, making him ideal as a team’s main damage dealer.

Itto first came out on December 14, 2021, on the Event Banner Oni’s Royale. He was defined by Mihoyo as a “buff character” referring to his bodybuild. That’s enough.

Genshin Impact Boy Characters with Hydro Vision

Following danger wherever he goes, Tartaglia (or Childe) is always ready for a challenge and to freeze our hearts like a real Snezhnaya’s citizen.

He’s also the Eleventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, alongside other Harbingers like Signora or Scaramouche.

He’s a 5-star Hydro character who fights with a bow.

Tartaglia has a unique fighting style because he’s one of the only characters in the game that can switch from Melee to Ranged attacks through his Elemental Skill.

Honestly, you just have to look at him and hear his laugh when he flies to understand why he’s so loved. Also, his desire to protect his family is very charming. We love good boys.

Xingqiu is an irreplaceable 4-star Hydro sword character that sits high up in the leaderboards at C6. Since he’s a 4-star with multiple methods of bringing home, it’s not difficult to get him to his highest constellation.

The young man has a chivalrous heart and comes from a dignified family. He enjoys reading books and spending time with his best friend Chongyun

Xingqui has a high ATK speed, an Elemental Skill that reduces DMG, and an Elemental Burst that applies Hydro. He excels in teams with Pyro carries like Hu Tao, Diluc, and Klee.

His main role in battle is a sub-DPS that constantly sets up Hydro reactions for his carries. If you haven’t built your Xingqui yet, this is your cue to get farming!

Kamisato Ayato is a 5-Star Hydro sword character that was released in Genshin Impact 2.6. He is the big brother of Kamisato Ayaka

Ayato will act as the Main DPS for the team, dealing high damage with his skill using vaporize reactions and Yun Jin’s buffs.

Ayato summons a water clone of himself and immediately enters Soukai Kanka state.

Ayato’s watery illusion taunts enemies and is set to explode if enough time has elapsed or if it receives damage. The explosion deals area of effect of Hydro damage to nearby enemies.

He is a flexible character and can be prized for being a rare AoE Hydro support.

Genshin Impact Male Characters with Pyro Vision

Diluc is a 5-star Pyro Claymore character whose main role is as a DPS. He is the owner of the Dawn Winery and he’s also a nobleman of the high esteem in Mondstat and a former Knight of Favonius so yes, everyone knows him.

Diluc’s Elemental Burst summons a Phoenix to knock back nearby opponents dealing AoE Pyro DMG. The searing flames that run down his blade cause it to be infused with Pyro.

whoever does not love guys with long hair. It may look bad in-game, but Diluc’s fanarts are on another level.

Thoma is a 4-star Pyro character, wielding a polearm as a weapon for fighting. He is the housekeeper for the Kamisato Clan.

He was born in Mondstat but he moved on to Inazuma a few years ago. We met him for the first time in the port of Inazuma, when we arrived with Beidou’s ship. He’s our guide on the island.

Thoma delivers a flame-filled flying kick that deals AoEPyro DMG with his Elemental Skill. It absorbs Pyro DMG.

He spins his polearm and deals AoE Pyro DMG with his Elemental Burst. It also deals AoE Pyro DMG whenever you do a basic attack every 1s.

His personality is kind of playful, joyful, and gentle, three aspects that everyone loves in a character. He’s sometimes compared with Tartaglia because of this.

Although Bennett thinks he only brings misfortune to those around him, he’s arguably the most powerful 4-star support character that buffs, heals, and deals damage.

When Bennet was a baby, he was discovered by an elderly Mondstadt Adventurer.

Benny founded Benny’s Adventurer’s Guild but stands as the sole member.

Like Xingqui, it is more convenient and easier to get Constellations for the young adventurer. Bennet is a powerful support character because all of his skills are useful in any team setting.

As a versatile support character, Bennet brings more fortune than he thinks he does.

FAQs about Genshin Impact Male Characters

Yes, and in fact, there are quite a lot of them (from the currently released 48 characters, 16 of them are male).

16 Male characters

Until now in April 2022, there are 16 male characters and 32 female characters currently playable in the game.

Two new characters were released recently, with one male character – Kamisato Ayato, released on March 30, 2022, and one female character – Yae Miko released on February 16, 2022.

Venti’s a boy, although his English VA is a girl who does a very nice job at voicing him, not gonna lie.

Venti’s body is portrayed as a male, after taking the form of a friend.

Xiao may have the appearance of a young man, but his true age is something over two thousand years.

Fortunately, people do not tend to underestimate him on the basis of his appearance — one only needs to spend a short time with Xiao to clarify that he is not someone to be trifled with.

Xiao is a man of few words.

Despite his supposed clumsy nature, Zhongli is a very serious man who for thousands of years took care of Liyue and those who lived inside of it.

Zhongli is the God of Contracts who values fairness over everything else.

Currently (until April 2022), there are 48 playable characters in the game, with 32 girls and 16 boys (including Aether). The list below ranks ten of the best Genshin Impact male characters based on their power and popularity.
