Yun Jin is an exceptional support character even though she’s kind of niche, only buffing your team’s normal attacks and nothing else. Her first ascension passive makes her play a little bit like Beidou with the perfect counter stuff.
Her fourth ascension passive boosts the normal damage bonus provided by her burst depending on how many different element characters are in the party. For example, if you have a party that consists of 4 different elements, her normal attack damage boost increases by 11.5% further. This is something to keep in mind when team building.
For talent priorities, go for:
Her elemental burst is much more important to level than her elemental skill as her burst is the one that provides your team with a huge damage boost.
Normal Attack
Performs up to 5 consecutive spear strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to enemies along the way.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging enemies along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Ms. Yun may just be acting out fights on stage, but her skills with the spear are real enough to defend against her foes.
Press
Flourishes her polearm in a cloud-grasping stance, dealing Geo DMG.
Hold
Takes up the Opening Flourish stance and charges up, forming a shield. DMG Absorption is based on Yun Jin’s Max HP and has 150% effectiveness against all Elemental DMG and Physical DMG. The shield lasts until she finishes unleashing her Elemental Skill.
When the skill is released, when its duration ends, or when the shield breaks, Yun Jin will unleash the charged energy as an attack, dealing Geo DMG.
Based on the time spent charging, it will either unleash an attack at Charge Level 1 or Level 2.
Deals AoE Geo DMG and grants all nearby party members a Flying Cloud Flag Formation.
Flying Cloud Flag Formation
When Normal Attack DMG is dealt to opponents, Bonus DMG will be dealt based on Yun Jin’s current DEF.
The effects of this skill will be cleared after a set duration or after being triggered a specific number of times.
When one Normal Attack hits multiple opponents, the effect is triggered multiple times according to the number of opponents hit. The number of times that the effect is triggered is counted independently for each member of the party with Flying Cloud Flag Formation.
Using Opening Flourish at the precise moment when Yun Jin is attacked will unleash its Level 2 Charged (Hold) form.
The Normal Attack DMG Bonus granted by Flying Cloud Flag Formation is further increased by 2.5%/5%/7.5%/11.5% of Yun Jin’s DEF when the party contains characters of 1/2/3/4 Elemental Types, respectively.
When Perfect Cooking is achieved on Food with Adventure-related effects, there is a 12% chance to obtain double the product.
At C0, Yun Jin is already a great character and only becomes much better as her constellation goes up. Keep track of C1, C2, and C6 as these are her major constellation points.
Opening Flourish’s CD is decreased by 18%.
After Cliffbreaker’s Banner is unleashed, all nearby party members’ Normal Attack DMG is increased by 15% for 12s.
Increases the Level of Cliffbreaker’s Banner by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
When Yun Jin triggers the Crystallize Reaction, her DEF is increased by 20% for 12s.
Increases the Level of Opening Flourish by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Characters under the effects of the Flying Cloud Flag Formation have their Normal ATK SPD increased by 12%.
– Yun Jin will increase damage output of Yoimiya’s normal attacks.
– Yoimiya will be the Main DPS dealing powerful vaporize damage with Xingqiu and increased damage from the buffs by Yun Jin & Bennett.
– Bennett will provide healing and ATK buff for the team. He will also activate pyro resonance.
– Xingqiu will provide constant hydro application with his burst for Yoimiya.
Yun Jin, as we’ve mentioned earlier, is kind of a niche support. She also needs a little bit of energy recharge for her to be able to consistently use her elemental burst off of cooldown. That being said, most of her best in slot weapons and artifacts will include a mixture of DEF% or Energy Recharge.
You might notice that the recommended weapons for Yun Jin all have energy recharge as their sub stat, it’s because she can be quite needy when it comes to energy. You want around 160%-200% for her energy recharge.
CRIT hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.
Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 16% and Elemental Burst CRIT Rate by 6%.
ATK increased by 28% of Energy Recharge over the base 100%. You can gain a maximum bonus of 80% ATK. Gain 30% Energy Recharge for 12s after using an Elemental Burst.
If you’re running Favonius Lance on Yun Jin, you might want to have Crit Rate in your artifact sub stats so you can trigger its passive much more consistently.
Yun Jin’s best set would differ depending on how much energy recharge you have, if you have enough (160% – 200% ER), you might want to go for a 4 piece Husk of Opulent Dreams.
If you need more energy recharge 2 piece Husk of Opulent Dreams and 2 piece Emblem of Severed Fates also work.
For main stats, you can go for DEF%/Energy Recharge% Sands (depending on your ER), DEF% Goblet, and Crit Rate/DEF% Circlet. Go for a Crit Rate Circlet if you’re having trouble proccing Favonius Lance’s passive.
Yes, Yun Jin is free to get in the Genshin Impact.
However, getting characters in the game normally involves using Wishes and Banners, and a bit of luck.
Fortunately, a rare event will allow players to get a free character, and they can even pick Yun Jin, a new 4 Star Geo character that has just been added to the game.
Approximately 18-20 years old. The age of Yun Jin is not obviously stated in the game. Yun Jin’s birthday is on May 21st.
On that day, you’ll get gifts from miHoYo.
Yun Jin deals AoE damage and grants all nearby party members a Flying Cloud Flag Formation.
Whenever a party member deals normal attack damage to opponents, bonus damage is inflicted based on Yun Jin’s current defense stat. The effects of this skill clear after a set duration or it consumes all its stacks.
To get Yun Jin free in the game, players must complete four themed challenges in this year’s Genshin Impact Lantern Rite, where they can obtain Affluence Talismans, Conquest Talismans, and Immaculate Talismans.
No. Yun Jin is a 4-star Geo polearm character, whose main role is to provide additional damage to her allies with her Elemental Burst.
She is one of the most popular girl characters.
Yun Jin is also a shielder, but in a similar way to Beidou, which is to say, not really.
She can provide a strong shield that scales with her max HP, but other characters won’t benefit from it, and it will end as soon as she finishes charging and unleashes her Geo attack.
Yun Jin’s Burst is a Support skill that allows you to deal increased Normal Attack damage with your main DPS.
Yes, Yun Jin is good for Xiao in boosting Normal Attacks, not buffing Charged Attacks or Plunge Attacks for Xiao.
The Staff Of Homa is one of the most recommended weapons for Yun Jin and is a common choice for any character using the polearm weapon.
Getting love and admiration for its heavy stats and useful effects, this weapon has joined the Genshin Impact hall of fame.
Yun Jin’s C6 – Decorous Harmony
Yun Jin’s sixth constellation is the cherry on top of her kit. C6 Yun Jin will buff her team’s ATK SPD as long as they’re buffed by her Elemental Burst (so it’ll be boosted for 30 procs). In conclusion, Yun Jin is highly viable as a Normal Attack buffer even at C0.
