Xingqiu is a young man that spends a lot of time keeping up appearances. His best friend Chongyun, however, is more than aware of the boy’s true personality.

Chongyun often has to put up with Xingqiu when he is acting like his true self, which often leads poor Chongyun to endure pranks.

Xingqiu’s Normal Attacks have lackluster DMG for him to be a Main DPS. While he can do Normal Attacks while his Elemental Burst is activated, it is much more effective to switch to the Main DPS character who can provide reactions that compliment Xingqiu’s Burst.

Xingqiu is a passably good healer by using both their Elemental Burst and Elemental Skill. These techniques also grant other benefits like damage reduction and shroud other attacks in the “Wet” status effect. These benefits remain even when you switch characters.

Iron Sting: Inflicting Elemental DMG on an enemy increases all of Xingqiu’s DMG by 6% for 6 seconds with a maximum of 2 stacks. This effect only occurs once every 1 second.

It’s not the best weapon for Xingqiu. The Primordial Jade Cutter is the most recommended 5-star weapon for Xingqiu.

Even it’s a 4-star weapon, Sacrificial Sword is the definitive choice for Genshin Impact players seeking to build Xingqiu in a supportive role.

Not only does it bolster Elemental Recharge (a stat that’s highly useful for Xingqiu support), but it also has a good chance to reset the cooldown of his Elemental Skill.

To best build Xingqiu, players will need to start with the Blades Amidst Raindrops passive. This talent adds a 20% Hydro DMG Bonus to Xingqiu’s character, which will be incredibly important for the Hydro Support build. This passive becomes unlocked at Ascension 4.

Since this build still emphasizes Xingqiu’s Elemental abilities, the Artifacts are the same: 2-piece Heart of Depth and 2-piece Noblesse Oblige or Gambler. The best Genshin Impact Xingqiu artifacts also include the Emblem of Severed Fate.
