Diona
Diona as support can easily apply Cryo to enemies with Elemetal Skill, while also creating a shield. She won’t be an onfield DPS, but she can be relied on to spread Cryo to enemies when she’s out.
Diluc
Diluc will be the on-field damage dealer. After Diona uses her Elemental Skill, switch to Diluc and use any of his skills to proc Melt. He can then stay on the field until Diona’s cooldowns are over
Venti
Venti can easily group enemies. Have him use his Elemental Burst, then Diona’s Elemental Skill to swirl Cryo. This can then be finished off with either Diluc or Xiangling to create Melt
Xiangling
Xiangling will allow you to put a bit of distance between enemies while Diluc is recuperating or waiting for his cooldowns. With her there, your team will also have Pyro resonance.
Diona isn’t going to do copious amounts of damage on her own. Her kit isn’t built that way. Firing Icy Paws at enemies can deal some decent damage, but without much to follow up with, she sits very firmly in the Support category of characters.
For weapons, the best for Diona would be the Sacrificial Bow followed by the Favonius Warbow for its energy recharge substat.
After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.
CRIT hits have a 60% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s.
There’s only one artifact that really fits Diona and that’d be the Noblesse Oblige. Main stats to look out for are Energy Recharge/HP Sands, HP% Goblet, Healing Bonus Circlet.
Only go for Energy Recharge if you feel like Diona is having a hard time getting energy for her elemental burst.
Diona is currently available in the game through the Wish system. As a 4-star character, she doesn’t have the rarest pull rate in Genshin Impact, but she’s still going to be pretty uncommon. Diona’s ranged attacks with bows are great for dealing damage, especially to multiple enemies all at once.

Players can also opt to build Diona as a sub-DPS or even main DPS, though she won’t do too much damage due to her low modifiers. Diona is meant to be played as a support, but with a focus on certain stats, she can be used for damage.
Diona is a 4-star Cryo Bow character in Genshin Impact.
Diona gives a shield, which is always great for Ganyu, as well as some Cryo resonance for added CRIT. She will also ensure that Ganyu gets the energy she needs to keep spamming her Burst.
Generally speaking, the Sacrificial Bow is the most accessible bow for Diona, as it will be found in great numbers during the player’s travels. The Sacrificial Bow can be found in a variety of chests around the world, as well as through the Going Upon the Breeze sub-quest, and once by talking to Nakano in Ritou, Inazuma.
Constellation 6 will not only heal the team but also increase the Elemental Mastery of the team furthering the support capabilities of Diona.
Qiqi is by far the better healer. Diona is more a hybrid of a healer and shield provider.
The new character Diona debuts in the middle of the pack, and it’s just hard to compete with strong cryo options like Chongun and Qiqi. But she’s certainly better than Katya.
C2 Noelle, definitely, while Diona’s shield gives a speed boost, you need her at c1 for that— and her shield is only good for Cryo res. Noelle however has a geo shield, which can absorb all forms of damage until her shield breaks.
The best pairings with Diona in this composition are Pyro teammates who can battle reliably inside the AOE of Diona’s Burst so that enemies stay within it, and you can benefit from the passive healing. Diona’s entrepreneurial rival, Diluc, serves this role particularly well; or you can opt for more of a wine-and-dine experience with master chef Xiangling on your team. Either way, combo-ing their Pyro abilities with Diona’s Cryo application, healing, and shielding will form a potent core for your team.
Diona can do this via the help of an Anemo teammate, with Venti perhaps being the best candidate. Combining Diona’s Elemental Skill with one of their passive Skills will proc the Superconduct Reaction, lowering the Physical RES of affected enemies.
