Additional copies of Kaeya can be pulled from the Wanderlust Invocation. All 4-star characters can be pulled from this banner, except for any new 4-star character during their Character Event Wish banner.

Bought From the Starglitter Exchange

As a 4-star character, Kaeya has a chance to appear in the Starglitter Exchange every month. He can be traded for 34 Masterless Starglitter.

Best Genshin Impact Kaeya Builds

Kaeya doesn’t function just as a sub DPS. He’s also a really great batter with his Fourth Ascension Passive. However, this only functions when the opponent is frozen so keep that in mind when having Kaeya in your party.

Best Genshin Impact Kaeya Weapons

Kaeya has a bunch of options for weapons, here are some of the best ones.

Freedom-Sworn

Freedom-Sworn

A part of the “Millennial Movement” that wanders amidst the winds. Increases DMG by 10%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field.

When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” for 12s. “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” increases Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% and increases ATK by 20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s.

Of the many effects of the “Millennial Movement,” buffs of the same type.

Skyward Blade

Skyward Blade

Crit Rate increased by 4%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12s.

Alley Flash

Alley Flash

Increases DMG dealt by the character equipping this weapon by 12%. Taking DMG disables this effect for 5s.

Harbinger of Dawn

Harbinger of Dawn

When HP is above 90%, increases CRIT Rate by 14%.

Best Genshin Impact Kaeya Artifacts

Much like his weapons, this is going to depend on what kind of team composition he’s joining.

However, the generalist build artifact sets for him would be 2 piece Blizzard Strayer and 2 piece Noblesse Oblige.

Blizzard Strayer

Blizzard Strayer

  • 2-piece effect: Cryo DMG Bonus +15%
  • 4-piece effect: When a character attacks an opponent affected by Cryo, their CRIT Rate is increased by 20%. If the opponent is Frozen, CRIT Rate is increased by an additional 20%.
Noblesse Oblige

Noblesse Oblige

  • 2-piece effect: Elemental Burst DMG +20%
  • 4-piece effect: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members’ ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

FAQs about Genshin Impact Kaeya

Kaeya Had an Eyepatch in the Manga

He was told he was the last hope for Khaenri’ah, giving fans a theory that the eyepatch may be linked to his past.

Approximately 20 years old. The age of Kaeya is not obviously stated in the game. His birthday is on November 30th

Kaeya and Diluc might have the same age (more info in comments). Diluc was Jean’s superior before he quit the Knights.

She is slightly younger than him, and she calls him “senpai” in the Japanese audio, so she is 20-21 at most.

Kaeya is the best free DPS character in the game and is the second-best sword DPS behind Keqing.

So yes he can be a DPS and he is damn good at it on top of being even support for melee characters.

No matter who you have invested in Kaeya is an excellent choice that won’t hurt in the long run.

Kaeya is low-key one of the best starting characters.

Kaeya is one of the most underrated, versatile starting characters in Genshin Impact. He can be used in a variety of ways, making him a top choice for newcomers and experienced players alike, regardless of playstyle.

You can pretty much fit Kaeya in most Freeze, Melt, and Superconduct team comps. He synergizes well with other characters and can act either as Main DPS or Sub-DPS depending on the comp.

For both builds, Kaeya’s best-in-slot sword is the Skyward Blade, which has an Energy Recharge sub-stat and grants a Crit Rate boost as well as an ATK Speed and Normal and Charged Attack DMG boost.

As a Support, players can replace this with the Favonius Sword, which provides a similar Recharge and Crit boost.

Rosaria burst is staying in one place while Kaeya’s moves with him, so Kaeya.

I’d prefer Kaeya in this situation since his burst isn’t rooted in place and he has access to sacrificial if you really, really need it. Rosaria’s burst does give a crit rate buff, but that’s useless for a swirl.

Kaeya can easily inflict Cryo to opponents with his Burst and skill. This makes him the perfect character for Blizzard strayer Artifact. This build focuses on the use of his Elemental Skill and Burst to inflict Cryo and deal strong damage.

Even if you decide not to use Aloy, Kaeya is a fine Cryo addition to your Thoma team. Kaeya is a fast attacking Sub-DPS with an Elemental Skill that boasts a short cooldown.

His Elemental Burst also works to continuously apply Cryo to enemies around him (or whichever character is active).

Kaeya is good due to his burst which you can get superconductive to lower defense.

So I would take Xianliang and Sucrose and replace them with a healing and a different elemental support character. I’ve never used Razor and Sucrosse before, But Xiangling and Kaeya are definitely a good combo.

The best team composition for Kaeya includes Diluc,

Diluc is one of the best damage dealers in Genshin Impact. His kit has a large number of Pyro attacks, making him able to trigger Melt over and over again. After using his Elemental Burst, Diluc’s Normal attacks will be infused with Pyro. Kaeya can greatly increase Diluc’s damage during that state.

With her Cryo vision, Diona can activate the Cryo Resonance with Kaeya. Cryo Resonance will increase Kaeya’s Critical Rate by 15% against enemies affected by Cryo. Furthermore, Diona can shield and heal Kaeya, giving him the support he needs to stay on the field for a longer duration.

Although Xingqiu is the best companion Hu Tao can have, Kaeya can still perform great in that role. His Elemental Burst can keep applying Cryo on enemies while Hu Tao pierces through her enemies in the Paramita Papilio state.
