The Anemo Traveler’s Talents all revolve around the basic principle of Anemo. Which is to swirl the elements around you as much as possible.
As a sub DPS, we highly recommend this skill priority:
Normal Attack
Perform up to 5 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Grasping the wind’s might, you form a vortex of vacuum in your palm, causing continuous Anemo DMG to opponents in front of you.
The vacuum vortex explodes when the skill duration ends, causing a greater amount of Anemo DMG over a larger area.
Hold
DMG and AoE will gradually increase.
Elemental Absorption
If the vortex comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal with additional Elemental DMG of that type.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once peruse.
Guiding the path of the wind currents, you summon a forward-moving tornado that pulls objects and opponents towards itself, dealing with continuous Anemo DMG.
Elemental Absorption
If the tornado comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal with additional Elemental DMG of that type.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once peruse.
The last hit of a Normal Attack combo unleashes a wind blade, dealing 60% of ATK as Anemo DMG to all opponents in its path.
Palm Vortex kills regenerate 2% HP for 5s. This effect can only occur once every 5s.
The Geo Traveler’s talents have a lot to do with their ability to make Geo constructs and deal Geo damage. These abilities can crystallize elements producing crystals that you can pick up which gives you a shield for that specific element.
As a sub DPS, I recommend going:
Normal Attack
Performs up to 5 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
You disgorge a meteorite from the depths of the earth, dealing with AoE Geo DMG.
The meteorite is considered a Geo Construct and can be climbed or used to block attacks.
Hold
This skill’s positioning may be adjusted.
Energizing the Geo deep underground, you set off expanding shockwaves.
Launches surrounding opponents back and deals AoE Geo DMG.
A stone wall is erected at the edges of the shockwave.
The stone wall is considered a Geo Construct and may be used to block attacks.
Reduces Starfell Sword’s CD by 2s.
The final hit of a Normal Attack combo triggers a collapse, dealing 60% of ATK as AoE Geo DMG.
The Electro Traveler’s kit revolves around energy recharge and producing Abundance amulets which help characters that have a lot of energy required for their elemental burst.
As battery support, we recommend this priority:
Normal Attack
Performs up to 5 rapid strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
Unleashes three swift thunder shadows that deal Electro DMG to opponents and leave an Abundance Amulet behind after hitting an opponent.
2 Abundance Amulets can be created initially. Using this skill will reset any Abundance Amulets that were generated.
Abundance Amulets
When a character is near an Abundance Amulet, they will absorb it and obtain the following effects:
Restores Elemental Energy
Increases Energy Recharge during the Abundance Amulet’s duration.
You call upon the protection of lightning, knocking nearby opponents back and dealing Electro DMG to them.
Lightning Shroud
When your active character’s Normal or Charged Attacks hit opponents, they will call Falling Thunder forth, dealing Electro DMG.
When Falling Thunder hits opponents, it will regenerate Energy for that character.
One instance of Falling Thunder can be generated every 0.5s.
When another nearby character in the party obtains an Abundance Amulet created by Lightning Blade, Lightning Blade’s CD is decreased by 1.5s.
Increases the Energy Recharge effect granted by Lightning Blade’s Abundance Amulet by 10% of the Traveler’s Energy Recharge.
Here’s what separates the Traveler from the other characters. Typically, the way to get constellations is by getting the same character in Genshin Impact’s gacha. The Traveler works in a different system. You can raise their constellation levels by just playing the game, completing quests, and exploring the world.
The only constellation to be aware of is C6, being able to decrease an opponent’s RES is great.
Palm Vortex pulls in opponents and objects within a 5m radius.
Increases Energy Recharge by 16%.
Increases the Level of Gust Surge by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Reduces DMG taken while casting Palm Vortex by 10%.
Increases the Level of Palm Vortex by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Targets who take DMG from Gust Surge have their Anemo RES decreased by 20%.
If an Elemental Absorption occurred, then their RES towards the corresponding Element is also decreased by 20%.
Similar to the Anemo Traveler (Protagonist) the Geo Traveler works differently from other characters. Typically, the way to get constellations is by getting the same character in Genshin Impact’s gacha. The Traveler works in a different system. You can raise their constellation levels by just playing the game, completing quests, and exploring the world.
The constellation to look out for if you’re using the Geo Traveler as a sub DPS is C1, this provides party members with crit rate which is really really good.
Party members within the radius of Wake of Earth have their CRIT Rate increased by 10% and have increased resistance against interruption.
When the meteorite created by Starfell Sword is destroyed, it will also explode, dealing additional AoE Geo DMG equal to the amount of damage dealt by Starfell Sword.
Increases the Level of Wake of Earth by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
The shockwave triggered by Wake of Earth regenerates 5 Energy for every opponent hit.
A maximum of 25 Energy can be regenerated in this manner at any one time.
Increases the Level of Starfell Sword by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
The barrier created by Wake of Earth lasts 5s longer.
The meteorite created by Starfell Sword lasts 10s longer.
Similar to the Geo Traveler (Protagonist) and Anemo Traveler (Protagonist), the Electro Traveler’s constellation works in a different way than the rest of the cast. You will be able to obtain the material needed to increase their constellation by just playing the game and exploration.
Constellations to keep an eye on are C1, C4, and C6. These constellations provide a whole lot of boost for the Electro Traveler.
The number of Abundance Amulets that can be generated using Lightning Blade is increased to 3.
When Falling Thunder created by Bellowing Thunder hits an opponent, it will decrease their Electro RES by 15% for 8s.
Increases the Level of Bellowing Thunder by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
When a character obtains Abundance Amulets generated by Lightning Blade, if this character’s Energy is less than 35%, the Energy restored by the Abundance Amulets is increased by 100%.
Increases the Level of Lightning Blade by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
Every 2 Falling Thunder attacks triggered by Bellowing Thunder will significantly increase the DMG dealt by the next Falling Thunder, dealing 200% of its original DMG, and will restore an additional 1 Energy to the current character.
Anemo Traveler
Unlike other crowd control abilities, The Traveler (Anemo) has a tendency to group up enemies and to push them away. Her swirl is strong so elemental damage will be consistent
Klee
Klee is great with the Traveler as her bombs linger on the field and can be picked up by the Elemental Skill and Burst of the Traveler. The goal is to always start combos with Klee, then spread with the Traveler.
Childe (Tartaglia)
Childe’s Bow will be able to attack enemies event at long distances, which will be needed when the Traveler uses their Elemental Burst. Use it immediately after Klee spreads her fire to cause Vaporize
Fischl
During times when other skills are on cooldown, having Fischl’s Oz will be a great way to deal damage. It can cause either Overload or Electro-charged with the two DPS.
Zhongli
Zhongli’s resonance with the Geo Traveler will further increase the effectiveness of shields. His Elemental Burst is also great for crowd control when needed.
Venti
Xiao will be the main DPS of the team. Having a shield before he uses it is also great to prevent being interrupted during combos.
Bennett
Bennett’s Elemental Burst will increase the team’s overall damage, while also keeping up their health.
Childe (Tartaglia)
Childe (Tartaglia) is able to apply hydro to multiple enemies, making him great with Traveler as they can easily Electrocharge enemies.
Kazuha
Crowd control to easily apply elemental combos and bursts to enemies. Use Kazuha’s skill to group enemies and buff the team.
For the Anemo Traveler, we want consistency. Weapons with good Energy Recharge or Elemental Mastery would be a good pick for them.
For the Geo Traveler, their supportive capabilities are really good and having to lean on that instead of having a jack-of-all-trades approach with it is going to be much better.
The Electro Traveler excels in being the battery support of the team and so we’re going to focus on that aspect.
Any of these weapons will fit the Anemo Traveler as the synergy gained from it is outstanding, considering the fact that the Traveler is in a supportive element.
Dealing Elemental DMG increases all DMG by 6% for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can only occur once every 1s.
After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.
Weapons that boost the damage their elemental skill and elemental burst are really good. As well as some that have energy recharge in them.
Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 16% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 6%.
After dealing damage to an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.
If you’re going to use Emblem of Severed Fate as your artifact set, you’re going to want to use a weapon with energy recharge as its substat. However, energy recharge as a whole for the Electro Traveler is really good.
CRIT Rate increased by 4%.
Gains Skypiercing Might upon using an Elemental Burst:
Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and increases the DMG of Normal and Charged Attack hits by 20% for 12s.
After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.
Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 16% and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 6%.
No other artifact set fits a sub DPS Anemo character than a Viridescent Venerer. For main stats of the artifacts, you can go with ATK Sands, Anemo DMG% Goblet, Crit Rate/Crit Damage Circlet depenendin on your crit rate. You can also go for a full Elemental Mastery.
Geo Traveler has more artifacts options.
If you’re focused on making your Geo Traveler a support/sub dps character, We recommend either going with 4 piece Archaic Petra or 4 piece Noblesse Oblige. If you want to have a little bit more damage, you can go 2 piece Archaic Petra and 2 piece Gladiator’s Finale.
For main stats, we recommend going for ATK Sands, Geo DMG% Goblet, and Crit Rate/Crit Damage Circlet depending on your crit rate.
There are only two artifact sets that fit The Electro Traveler. However, we highly recommend Emblem of Severed Fate over the other due to the energy recharge buffs it gives.
For main stats, we recommend going for Energy Recharge/ATK Sands, Electro DMG% Goblet, and Crit Rate/Crit Damage Circlet depending on your crit rate.
While the Traveler is able to freely manipulate the elements – three elements are open for travelers right now: Anemo, Geo, and Electro, they don’t actually possess a vision themselves.
Before exploring the vast land of Inazuma, the Traveler must first meet up with Kazuha and Beidou and participate in a fighting tournament.
Once entering Beidou’s tournament, this becomes clear as she and Kazuha advise the Traveler to avoid using any elemental abilities during any battles.
In Genshin Impact, Aether and Lumine have slightly different portraits for their constellations to match their aesthetics.
Although their constellations, Viator and Viatrix, have different names and portraits, the way the twins’ constellations get upgraded is the same.
The twins also get a new constellation when they interact with a new element and will have a different constellation when using Anemo, Geo, and (now with Inazuma released) Electro too.
The Traveler is unique and differs greatly from the rest of the cast of playable characters in various ways, including their gacha availability.
The Traveler actually isn’t featured in any event banner, and cannot be pulled when wishing for items or characters.
But players can get them at the beginning of entering the game. So it’s quite understandable that they are not featured in any event banner.
All other characters are available to be pulled in the game’s gacha system in order to recruit them for the player’s team; with the exception of Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa, who are all given for free.
However, unlike Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa, the Traveler cannot be pulled again as a duplicate in order to complete their constellation.
Being the only character that can shift elemental abilities in Genshin Impact, Aether and Lumine also have a fun fashionable advantage over their teammates.
At the beginning of the game, Aether and Lumine’s accents on their gear are white. Once the twins are defeated by the Unknown God, their accents are then black; that is until they interact with the first Statue of Seven and borrow the power of Barbatos.
Once the Traveler borrows Barbatos’ power, their outfit glows a light blue and once they interact with Rex Lapis’s Statue of Seven, then their glow turns into a golden yellow.
And now, with the newest addition of Inazuma, when the Traveler shifts to Electro, the trend continues and adds a flash of deep purple to their outfit.
For all other characters, in order to fill their constellation to level them up, they must be pulled as a duplicate when wishing.
So it may seem a bit confusing when it comes to completing the Traveler’s constellation, seeing as the Traveler cannot be pulled into the game’s gacha system the same way the other playable characters can be.
The Traveler can find the item to level up their constellation in a few different ways. One of these items can be found in souvenir shops, meanwhile, the rest are given as adventure rank or main quest rewards.
As the protagonist can change their elemental alignment, it’s only natural they have three different sets of requirements to fill their constellation; having a different item to level their Anemo constellation as opposed to the required item for their Geo constellation, and now with a different item for Electro constellation.
In an Archon quest with Dainsleif, fans were finally able to shed some light on the mysterious past of the (mostly) silent protagonist.
It was apparent from the very first cutscene that the Traveler is not of the world of Teyvat and that the Unknown God they were fighting had stranded them there on their journey.
However, the quest “We Will Be Reunited” revealed that the Traveler apparently has memories of the ancient nation, Khaenri’ah.
Assumed to be a nation, long gone with no real remnants, Khaenri’ah was long forgotten and so it was a surprise that the Traveler had memories of it!
After a heartbreaking reunion with the Traveler’s lost sibling, it seems likely that the Traveler and their twin are, in fact, from the ancient nation. (However, when it comes to the Abyss Order, it’s never clear what the truth actually is.)
miHoYo made sure to not leave any intricate details out when designing the beloved protagonists. Aether and Lumine may be twins but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their differences.
Rather than taking the lazy route and simply both variations of the protagonist the same exact animation when in combat, miHoYo took the extra step and made completely unique fighting styles for each of the twins. A subtle difference to catch is their attack speeds, as Aether moves slightly faster than his sister.
Their fighting styles seem to complement each other’s as well as contrast each other very well. Seeing as the Traveler doesn’t talk much in-game, it’s great to see that even in their combat style, players are able to see a bit of their personality come through.
Aether is the male protagonist of the story. Players can choose between Aether and Lumine as their male or female protagonist of the game.
Aether used to be a world traveler with his sister, Lumine, until the day of their unfortunate encounter with the unknown goddess on Teyvat.
Whilst Lumine has a faster attack speed, Aether runs faster, climbs faster, but swims slower. In conclusion, Lumine is better than Aether DPS wise.
The character of Aether in Genshin Impact looks 15 years old, with a height of 5’4″ (162.5cm). But the actual age of the Traveler – both Aether and Lumine is more than 3000 years old.
They are as old as Zhongli, Xiao, and Raiden Shogun, who are the Gods of the Liyue and Inazuma regions.
The Traveler, whether it’s Aether (boy) or Lumine (girl) is the only free 5-star character that players will ever obtain. Even then, this one’s not exactly thrilling to have.
Aether and Lumine are both just support characters, and they’re not even the best at what they do.
