Genshin Impact Zhongli is a 5-star character that debuted in his own character banner “Gentry of Hermitage.”
His banner has had two reruns since its debut in December 2020, running again from April 28, 2021 – May 18, 2021 and January 25, 2022 – February 15, 2022.
Zhongli’s latest rerun banner, Gentry of Hermitage, ended in February 15, 2022. As of now, there is no way to get Zhongli from any of the Standard Banners.
Zhongli’s banner rerun was active at the same time as Ganyu’s banner rerun.

Normal Attack
Performs up to 6 consecutive spear strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, causing stone spears to fall along his path.

Additionally, it will intermittently resonate with other nearby Geo constructs, dealing Geo DMG to surrounding opponents.
The Stone Stele is considered a Geo construct that can both be climbed and used to block attacks.
Only one Stele created by Zhongli himself may initially exist at any one time.
Jade Shield
Possesses 150% DMG Absorption against all Elemental and Physical DMG.
Characters protected by the Jade Shield will decrease the Elemental RES and Physical RES of opponents in a small AoE by 20%. This effect cannot be stacked.
Brings a falling meteor down to earth, dealing massive Geo DMG to opponents caught in its AoE and applying the Petrification status to them.

Opponents affected by the Petrification status cannot move.
When the Jade Shield takes DMG, it will Fortify:Fortified characters have 5% increased Shield Strength.
Can stack up to 5 times, and lasts until the Jade Shield disappears.
Zhongli deals bonus DMG based on his Max HP:Normal Attack, Charged Attack, and Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 1.39% of Max HP.
Dominus Lapidis’ Stone Stele, resonance, and hold DMG is increased by 1.9% of Max HP.
Planet Befall’s DMG is increased by 33% of Max HP.
Refunds 15% of the ores used when Forging Polearm-type weapons.
Increases the maximum number of Stone Steles created by Dominus Lapidis that may exist simultaneously to 2.
Planet Befall grants nearby characters on the field a Jade Shield when it descends.

– Albedo and Zhongli’s team is very strong enabling you to create a killzone which will deal multiple Geo DMG to enemies inside it.
-Albedo will also fuel Zhongli’s Burst enabling it to be cast constantly.
– Bennett boost Zhongli’s DMG and will also heal him.
– Childe can serve as a sub-DPS and has a passive that will boost Zhongli’s normal Attacks.
Zhongli won’t take much of your in-field time. Mostly what he’d do when he’s out is to use both his elemental skill and elemental burst, and then switch to another character. However, this doesn’t mean that shielding is his only job. He can still deal a lot of damage especially if you level up that elemental burst.
Any of these weapons will work on Zhongli with Staff of Homa being your go-to F2P option due to the HP% sub stat increase. Primordial Jade-Winged Spear is also a solid pick for F2P players.
If you have other 5-star polearms that aren’t listed down here, it will also work. Except for Skyward Spine.
HP increased by 20%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 0.8% of the wielder’s Max HP. When the wielder’s HP is less than 50%, this ATK bonus is increased by an additional 1% of Max HP.
On hit, increases ATK by 3.2% for 6s. Max 7 stacks. This effect can only occur once every 0.3s. While in possession of the maximum possible stacks, DMG dealt is increased by 12%.
Increases DMG against slimes by 40%.
When refined to max, after defeating an opponent, ATK is increased by 24% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.
Zhongli’s artifacts can vary a little bit depending on what you want to achieve with him. If you purely want him as a supporting character, 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith is on the table. Noblesse Oblige 4-piece is also in contention if no one is using it at the party.
Archaic Petra is used in combination with Noblesse Oblige 2-piece each to achieve a much more offensive build of Zhongli.
Main stats to look out for as support Zhongli is Full HP on Sands, Goblet, and Circlet. If you’re keen on a much more offensive one, you should look for ATK Sands, Geo DMG% Goblet, Crit Rate/Crit Damage Circlet depending on your Crit Rate.
This build leverages Zhongli’s powerful Elemental Burst power by generating a constant stream of energy and particles. The Geo hero will not only be able to provide support energy for the rest of the team but will be able to use his Planet Befall attack to constantly slam his meteor into enemies.
Rather than having a full set, opt for a build of 2-piece The Exile and 2-piece Archaic Petra. This gives an Energy Recharge +20% bonus, and also makes Zhongli gain a 15% Geo DMG bonus. He works best with Artifacts that have ATK, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG substats.
Zhongli is a great male character to have if you have primogems to spare in the game.
Now that there’s a lot of support for Geo Characters, building a Geo-only team is as easy as it could be today than ever before. The God of Contracts is definitely someone you’d like to have on your team if you’re running a Geo Party.
When it comes to spending mora, Zhongli doesn’t understand bartering because he has never had a need to save money or try to strike a better deal. Giving up his gnosis put Zhongli in an instant state of being broke, and he is still yet to fully understand it.
In Genshin Impac, Zhongli is over 6,000 years old, and his birthday is on December 31st, making him a Capricorn. He was around before the archon war and actually lived a peaceful life helping the early inhabitants of Liyue prosper along with his close partner Guizhong
Both are paragons of their respective roles: Zhongli has the strongest Shields in the game and Ganyu has the highest DPS in the game.
Let’s take a closer look at both of them to determine who’s best for your account and playstyle, and what characters they work well with that you may already have.
That means that Travelers will be guaranteed to get Zhongli by the 180th at the very worst.
Players would have to spend up to 28,800 Primogems to be guaranteed to get him (not counting Intertwined Fates).
The default chance of summoning a 5-star character in the game is 0.6% before Pity Rates are considered.
Zhongli might not be as impactful as other 5-star DPS characters but he still remains an A-tier addition according to the official tier list.
He’s also getting buffed so he’s about to be even more impressive. As he is, he’s already cheesing some bosses with his Elemental Skill pillars that somehow make the A.I.
