Shenhe’s kit revolves around buffing the Cryo characters around her. Her Elemental Skill is a very powerful tool for doing so and the Icy Quills produced through this while needing a little bit of management, is a very nice addition to her kit.
This is also why you would want to pump ATK on Shenhe. Because of the Icy Quills and her fourth ascension passive.
Normal Attack
Performs up to 5 consecutive spear strikes.
Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to enemies along the way.
Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging enemies along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.
The frosted dew, silvery and dense, shall exorcise all demons.
Grants all nearby party members the Icy Quill effect and deals Cryo DMG in different ways based on whether it is pressed or held.
Press
Rushes forward together with a Talisman Spirit, dealing Cryo DMG to opponents along the path.
Hold
Commands the Talisman Spirit to deal AoE Cryo DMG.
Icy Quill
When Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts deal Cryo DMG to opponents, the DMG dealt is increased based on Shenhe’s current ATK.
The Icy Quill’s effects will be cleared once its duration ends or after being triggered a certain number of times. When held rather than pressed, the Icy Quill’s effect lasts longer and can be triggered more times.
When one Cryo DMG instance strikes multiple opponents, the effect is triggered multiple times based on the number of opponents hit. The number of times the effect is triggered is calculated independently for each party member with the Icy Quill.
Unleashes the power of the Talisman Spirit, allowing it to roam free in this plane, dealing AoE Cryo DMG.
The Talisman Spirit then creates a field that decreases the Cryo RES and Physical RES of opponents within it. It also deals periodic Cryo DMG to opponents within the field.
An active character within the field created by Divine Maiden’s Deliverance gains 15% Cryo DMG Bonus.
After Shenhe uses Spring Spirit Summoning, she will grant all nearby party members the following effects:
Press: Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG increased by 15% for 10s.
Hold: Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG increased by 15% for 15s.
Gains 25% more rewards when dispatched on a Liyue Expedition for 20 hours.
Shenhe’s already a great character at C0, but C2 makes her an even bigger threat to her enemies. Aside from that, C4 and C6 are great additions as well.
Spring Spirit Summoning can be used 1 more time.
Divine Maiden’s Deliverance lasts for 6 seconds longer. Active characters within the skill’s field deal 15% increased Cryo CRIT DMG.
Increases the Level of Spring Spirit Summoning by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
When characters under the effect of Icy Quill applied by Shenhe triggers its DMG Bonus effects, Shenhe will gain a Skyfrost Mantra stack:
When Shenhe uses Spring Spirit Summoning, she will consume all stacks of Skyfrost Mantra, increasing the DMG of that Spring Spirit Summoning by 5% for each stack consumed.
Max 50 stacks. Stacks last for 60s.
Increase the Level of Divine Maiden’s Deliverance by 3.
Maximum upgrade level is 15.
When characters trigger Icy Quill’s effects using Normal and Charged Attack DMG, it does not count toward the Trigger Quota.
Shenhe
Ayaka
Kokomi
Kazuha
– Shenhe will increase damage output of Ayaka and activate elemental resonance.
– Ayaka will be the Main DPS dealing powerful Cryo blows to the enemies.
– Kokomi provides heals and freeze reactions.
– Kazuha will provide crowd control and additional damage to enemies with reactions.
As of release, Shenhe’s the only character that focuses on buffing cryo damage dealers. With the recent releases before her like Gorou, it might seem like the era for niche supports is on the rise.
With that being said, Shenhe increases the cryo damage of her party proportionate to her current ATK. So you’d want to pump her ATK so she could make them even more powerful.
Just as previously mentioned, you want Shenhe to equip the highest ATK polearm you have. However, the weapon she came with, the Calamity Queller is still her best the slot for weapons.
Increases Shield Strength by 20%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.
Gain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. Obtain Consummation for 20s after using Elemental Skill, causing ATK to increase by 3.2% per second. This ATK increase has a maximum of 6 stacks. When the character equipped with this weapon is not on the field, Consummation’s ATK increased is doubled.
Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 16% and Elemental Burst CRIT Rate by 6%.
For Shenhe, you’d want a 2-piece Shimenawa’s Reminiscence and a 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale for the added ATK. For mainstats, you’d want to go for all ATK% for Sands, Goblet, and Circlet, these artifacts perform well.
Yes. Shenhe is 5-Star Cryo Polearm user from the Liyue Region. She was released in Version 2.4 of Genshin Impact.
The age of Shenhe is not obviously stated in the game. Her birthday is on March 10th.
From Shenhe story in Genshin Impact, she has ties to the Cloud Retainer, with Ganyu alluding to it, but whether she’s actually a human form of the Adeptus remains to be seen.
Shenhe is part of the same family of exorcists as Chongyun, and she’s his “aunt”. Chongyun calls Shenhe “oba” in the Japanese trailer.
If you use Cryo DPS often, you should definitely pull for Shenhe, as she’s not only beautiful but will also benefit your teams in many different ways. Her own damage is not the biggest, but shouldn’t be overlooked, and can make for some big numbers.
The five-star Cryo character Shenhe has been proven to boost Cryo Damage with her Elemental Skill while lowering the Cryo Resistance of enemies with her Burst. Even with all these buffs tailored towards a Cryo Support playstyle, she has many things that make her excel as a Physical DPS.
The best weapons for Shenhe list as below:
The Catch. It is four-star Polearm resembles a trident, physically standing out from all of the other weapons recommended for Shenhe. The Shanty skill it provides increases burst damage by 16%, and critical hits by 6%.
Calamity Queller. With bonus attack increases between 3.6% and 16.5% and base attacks ranging from 49 to 741, this five-star Polearm will enhance Shenhe in any team composition you place her in. It will increase all teammates’ elemental damage with the passive ability in ‘Extinguishing Precept’, making it a welcome addition.
Vortex Vanquisher. It comes with an attack bonus stat, a base attack of 46, a secondary attack that adds 10.8%, and it increases your shield strength by 20%. When you successfully hit an enemy, Shenhe’s attack will increase by 4% for eight-second intervals, and this can be stacked up to five times during a fight
The best team comp for Shenhe includes Ayaka, Kokomi, and Kzuha.
Shenhe will play more of a supporting role to Ayaka, but Ayaka will lead your collected team to victory with her incredibly high stats and impressive swordsmanship.
As a Hydro-user that can attack rapidly, Kokomi can use Shenhe’s elemental boosts to keep enemies frozen in place longer, allowing other team members to attack and increase damage without taking on as much themselves.
Shenhe produces particles that Kazuha needs for her high-cost bursts. This pairing will also benefit your team because Kazuha is a high-crit damage character, and Shenhe’s buff ability will increase the already high damage Eula can inflict on enemies.
