Claymores are one of the five weapon types that characters can use in Genshin Impact.

Claymores restrict the character wielding them to slower hits than other melee weapons like Swords and Polearms, but those hits deal much more damage per swing.

Due to being considered Blunt Attacks, Claymore attacks deal increased damage to Geo objects, such as Rock Shield Hilichurl Guards’ and Rock Shieldwall Mitachurls’ shields, ore nodes, and rock walls that reveal secret areas.

This is the ultimate guide for Genshin Impact Claymores. You’ll find bow attacks, characters, and tier list of this weapon. If you want to increase the attacks for Claymores, there are artifacts available for boost.

Moreover, we cover the Claymores’ rarity (5-star to 1 star), base ATK, secondary stat, and weapon skill for all bows in this Genshin Impact Claymore guide.

Genshin Impact Claymores Normal Attacks

A Claymore user’s Normal Attack chain typically consists of 4-5 slow, but powerful and wide, melee attacks.

Genshin Impact Claymores Charged Attacks

A Claymore user’s Charged Attack has a small windup before performing a furious chain of attacks that continuously drains their stamina.

This attack will end with a more powerful slash once the character runs out of stamina or reaches the max duration, which can also be triggered if you stop holding down the attack button.

When initiating a Charged Attack sequence from a standstill, Claymore users will cut short the animation of their first Normal Attack and transition it into the Charged Attack windup animation.

However, if the first Normal Attack’s Attack Speed is too fast, the character will finish performing the first Normal Attack before starting the Charged Attack windup.

For example, Sayu who can normally directly enter a Charged Attack sequence from a standstill, when at 150% Attack Speed, will have to perform her first Normal Attack before a Charged Attack sequence; Diluc, who normally must perform one Normal Attack before Charged Attacks, when affected by Cryo which debuffs Attack Speed by 15%, will be able to enter a Charged Attack sequence directly from a standstill.

However, the Attack Speed limit of the Charged Attack windup transition can be bypassed if the attack button is held down immediately after dashing, in which case any Claymore user will be able to directly enter their Charged Attack sequence regardless of Attack Speed.

Two iterations of Claymore Charged Attack exist a spinning attack (Chongyun, Noelle, Razor, Sayu, Xinyan) and a continuous slash attack (Beidou, Diluc, Eula).

However, they are functionally the same. Arataki Itto has access to a non-standard Charged Attack.

By default, Claymore Charged Attacks cost 40 Stamina per second and can last up to 5 seconds.

FAQs on Genshin Impact Claymores

The Wolf’s Gravestone is the absolute best claymore in Genshin Impact. Everything about the weapon is centered around increasing the wielder’s attack as high as possible, which is fantastic as attack affects all forms of damage.

Claymore users are the hardest hitting class in Genshin Impact, but not all are created equal.

Claymore users are the hardest-hitting class in Genshin Impact, and almost every claymore wielder is used as the main DPS.

With characters like Diluc, Razor, and Xinyan, the claymore class is known for its powerful attackers.

While it’s also possible to do with the sword and other physical-damage weapons, the claymore does it way faster.

That’s a rather important difference especially past AR 30 when players start finding out that Crystal Chunks are a lot more precious than they thought.

Our preferred claymore for Chongyun is the Skyward Pride, but as it’s a five-star weapon, it can be hard to acquire. If you’re looking for something in the meantime, we recommend forging the Prototype Archaic via the blacksmith.

The ideal claymore for Diluc is Wolf’s Gravestone, a weapon that increases ATK and provides a further buff to ATK when enemies are low health. Alternatively, if you’re a budget player you could run the four-star Sacrificial Greatsword.

Right now, there are only two 5-star claymores in the game, and the only way to get them is through Wishes. Since weapons have more base damage the higher their rarity, it’s a great find if a player manages to get a 5-star weapon.
