There are 48 girl characters in Genshin Impact now till December 2023.
They are categorized into different elements, with each character belonging to one of the seven Genshin Impact elements and wielding one of the five Genshin Impact weapons.

There are seven elements or visions in Genshin Impact. One character has only one vision, except Traveler can switch between Geo and Anemo elements.
So we make the lists by the character’s element – Anemo, Cryo, Electro, Geo, Hydro, Pyro, and Dendro.
Right now, no character gets the Dendro element in the game.
Jean is a 5-star Anemo sword girl and Barbara’s older sister. She serves as the Grand Master for the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt.
Like many Genshin Impact characters, Jean tends to overwork herself and never takes a break from her job.
One of her biggest role models is Vennessa, a famed Lionfang Knight who lived over a thousand years ago.
Sucrose is a 4-star female Anemo catalyst user. She is also an acclaimed alchemist who loves conducting experiments in her free time.
Sucrose stays up until all hours of the night from her research methods and is unable to have a social life (except with her mentor, Albedo).
This supporting character is a great asset to have if you’re going for an elemental-based party.
Sayu is a 4-star girl Anemo Claymore character. She spends most of her time sleeping in hiding spots because of a rumor she heard about rest making one taller.
Sayu is not a fan of her short stature of only four feet and six inches. She is self-conscious of her height and becomes irritated when people pat her head, especially Yae Miko.
LilyPichu, a popular Twitch streamer, voices the adorable yet stealthy Sayu.
Aloy is a 5-star girl character who wields Bow. Her region is not stated in the game.
Aloy’s abilities are simple enough but powerful. Her Elemental Skill gives her Cryo infusion and also deals instant Cryo damage.
With these, she can produce some dizzying reverse Melt combos and also a reliable Freeze setup. Her Elemental Burst deals a big chunk of instant damage.
Eula is a 5-star female Cryo claymore character who grew up in royalty. Eula is a member of the Lawrence Clan of Mondstadt, who has quite the infamous reputation for overpowering the region’s residents.
Eula’s Grimheart stacks to deal with some of the highest possible cryo DMG in Genshin Impact. She’s a super rare 5-star girl character so chances of getting her are extremely low.
Rosaria is a 4-star female Cryo polearm user and sister at the Church of Favonius in Mondstadt.
However, her fellow sisters are irritated at her actions, like skipping required church activities.
Rosaria can come off as incredibly intimidating due to her tall stature and cold attitude.
She excels at carrying out missions before the Knights of Favonius can even start them.
Kamisato Ayaka is a 5-star female Cryo sword user who lives a prestigious life as the eldest daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan from Inazuma.
She displays her royal upbringing in the way she treats people respectfully and politely. Despite her kind attitude and praise from the public, she doesn’t actually have many friends.
Thoma, her housekeeper and one of the tallest Genshin Impact characters, remains one of her faithful companions.
Shenhe is another one of the newest playable female characters introduced in Genshin Impact.
She is a 5-star Cryo polearm girl with an incredibly mysterious past. Chongyun calls Shenhe “auntie” in her character trailer, as she is a member of an exorcist clan.
However, the Cloud Retainer takes in Shenhe at a young age, and she grows up in the mountains of Liyue.
Qiqi is a 5-star female Cryo sword user, who is one of the child-like characters with the tiniest body in Genshin Impact.
She stands at just four feet and four inches tall and works as an apprentice and herb gatherer at Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue.
She’s incapable of expressing her emotions – except for showing her disgust of Hu Tao, that is. Qiqi even remarks that Hu Tao has a “punchable face.” Ouch.
Diona is a 4-star female Cryo bow character. She is the daughter of Draff and an acclaimed hunter from Springvale.
Diona is best known for her role as a bartender in Mondstadt at the Cat Tail’s Tavern.
Like Diluc, the owner of Dawn’s Winery, Diona also has a distaste for alcohol, despite being a bartender. As a bartender, she hopes to convince people to dislike alcohol by serving them disgusting drinks.
Ganyu is a 5-star female Cryo bow user and one of the strongest characters in Genshin Impact.
She is a DPS monster that can quickly dish out strong damage and cause large elemental chains with her strong abilities and skills.
She serves as the secretary of the Liyue Qixing and has done so for the past several thousand years.
The Liyue Qixing is a group of merchants responsible for Liyue’s trade network. Ganyu is one of the rarest 5-star characters. The only way that players can get Ganyu is via the banner of her own.
Fischl is a 4-star female Electro bow character who lives an incredibly mysterious lifestyle. She calls herself the “Prinzessin der Verurteilung” and travels with her faithful companion, Oz the night raven.
Fischl serves as an investigator for the Adventurer’s Guild and takes pride in that position. Her appearance includes an eye patch with long blonde hair.
Raiden Shogun is a 5-star female Electro polearm character, also known by her true name and form, Ei. Shogun is the best and the coolest looking female character in Genshin Impact.
Raiden Shogun is a support/DPS character, boasting insanely powerful speed with an extremely fun set of abilities and ultimate that turns her into a DPS beast that could decimate just about anything in the game. Kujou Sara acts as her faithful assistant.
Yae Miko is the newest playable female character in Genshin Impact. This girl character was first introduced on February 16, 2022.
She is a 5-star female Electro catalyst user with a great appraise from the Mihoyo team – “her elegant and beautiful appearance belies an intelligent and cunning personality. She is a lady who is not easy to predict and has her own principles and methods of doing things”.
Beidou is a 4-star female Electro claymore character who acts as the Captain of the Crux, an intimidating group of sailors.
Like Fischl, she sports an eyepatch and is widely praised across Liyue for her achievements, like defeating Haishan the Leviathan without a vision.
Despite her wide praise, she owes a lot of money due to defying several Liyue laws.
Kujou Sara is the adopted daughter of the Kujou Clan in Inazuma and is a 4-star Electro bow girl. She acts as the dedicated assistant to the Raiden Shogun.
Kujou Sara is a controversial figure for her support of the Vision Hunt Decree. Kazuha’s friend loses his life to Kujou Sara in a duel. She even steals Arataki Itto’s vision later in the game.
Kuki Shinobu is the newest playable female character in Genshin Impact. This girl character was first introduced on June 21st, 2022.
She wears a unique mask and is rather stoic.
Few people know why a talent of this caliber would run away to join a street gang. Even fewer people know what she hides under her mask.
At least, that’s what everyone says on the surface. Although… there are probably more people in the know.
Lisa is a 4-star Electro catalyst girl and another one of the earliest characters players encounter.
She serves as the Librarian of the Knights of Favonius, but isn’t too crazy about her position.
Players will quickly notice her playful attitude with the Traveler, especially from the pet names she calls them, like “cutie” and “darling.”
Keqing is a 5-star female Electro sword user who serves as the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. Like Ganyu, she spends much of her time working.
Keqing’s extremely powerful lightning damage can cut through dimensions and decimate her enemies with nary a thought.
With a proper build, Keqing can be a brutal powerhouse that excels with both speed and damage in Genshin Impact.
Noelle is a 4-star Geo claymore girl who acts as the maid at the Knights of Favonius headquarters, although she wishes to become a knight herself one day.
Noelle works strenuously in her position and goes the extra mile to ensure the comfort of those she serves. Jean, the Knights’ Grand Master, believes Noelle is unequipped to deal with the world outside of Mondstadt, so refuses to knight her.
Lumine is the female version of the Traveler protagonist that players control throughout Genshin Impact.
She sets off on a quest to find her long-lost sibling, Aether, who’s the male version of the protagonist.
Both siblings wake up as an amnesiac and encounter their emergency food who is actually their travel companion – the helpful but sometimes irritating Paimon.
Ningguang earns the title of the tallest female character in Genshin Impact. She is a 4-star female Geo catalyst character and the leader of the Liyue Qixing.
Due to her position as the Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing, she is by far one of the wealthiest playable Genshin Impact characters.
She can be a great character if you want a DPS character to carry you into the late game if you don’t have a 5-star DPS character yet.
Yun Jin, along with Shenhe, is the two new female characters in the Genshin Impact universe.
She is a 4-star Geo polearm user and a critically acclaimed director, playwright, and opera singer widely known for her works across Liyue.
Due to their differing musical interests, Yun Jin keeps her friendship with rock ‘n’ roll aficionado, Xinyan, a secret from the public.
Barbara is a 4-star female Hydro catalyst user who excels as the team healer. She can be found tending to the church in Monstadt.
She lives in the shadow of her elder sister, Jean, who acts as the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. Barbara hopes to become as successful as Jean one day.
Yelan (Chinese: 夜兰 Yèlán, “Night Orchid”) is a playable Hydro character in Genshin Impact.
She is a mysterious person who claims to work for the Ministry of Civil Affairs. However, she is actually the head of the Yanshang Teahouse.
Sangonomiya Kokomi acts as the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island and also their well-liked leader. She is a 5-star Hydro catalyst girl who performs well as the team healer.
While Kokomi didn’t have the same impact or gameplay appeal as Raiden Shogun, she’s still a great support character and can serve as your party’s main source of healing.
Mona is a 5-star female Hydro catalyst character who takes her job as an astrologist very seriously.
She frequently runs out of Mora by buying supplies for astrology but refuses to use her work for financial gain.
Due to her lack of funds, she sometimes roams the land without shelter and food. Mona wears a detailed outfit that closely resembles a witch’s.
Amber is a 4-star female Pyro bow character and one of the earliest playable characters that players may have when starting Genshin Impact.
She prides herself as the only Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, and has previously won three gliding competitions.
Despite her recognition as a skilled glider, especially by Kaeya, Amber has gotten her gliding license revoked several times.
Klee is a 5-star female Pyro catalyst user who loves to create explosives and watch things blow up.
While Klee is a member of the Knights of Favonius, she spends most of her time in solitary confinement at the headquarters for the devious antics she commits.
Yanfei acts as Liyue’s acclaimed legal advisor and has a passion for reading. She is probably the best female pyro character in the game and can deal some of the highest damage in all of Genshin Impact.
This 4-star lawyer is a fantastic character to have in your party for that consistent pyro based damage and even better for many elemental synergies coupled with the right characters.
Hu Tao is a 5-star female Pyro polearm user who serves as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Director in Liyue. Hu Tao has a sense of humor, which can infuriate several characters, especially Qiqi.
Qiqi believes she has a “punchable face” that “should be stored in the fridge.” Despite her eccentric qualities, Hu Tao takes her work seriously and has been in her position since her younger years.
Also known as the “Queen of the Summer Festival,” Yoimiya is the owner of the family business, Naganohara Fireworks, in the Inazuma region. Similar to fireworks, Yoimiya has a fiery personality and is a child at heart.
She is a 5-star Pyro bow girl who tends to not efficiently prepare before a fireworks presentation. This gets her in trouble with the city’s fire brigades.
Xiangling is a 4-star female Pyro polearm user and a famed chef from Liyue. She also runs a very famous restaurant in Liyue that also makes her an excellent cook for your party.
She has learned most of her culinary skills from her father, Chef Mao. Xiangling has a red panda companion named Guoba, which is Chinese for “scorched rice.” His secret identity is revealed partway through the story.
Xinyan is a 4-star Pyro claymore girl whose Southern-like accent sticks out like a sore thumb.
She loves to play rock ‘n’ roll music, despite not having much success in reviving the genre for the people of Liyue.
She carries around a ruan – a traditional Chinese stringed instrument – that she uses for music-based elemental attacks.
45 female characters
Until now in October 2023, there are 31 male characters and 45 female characters currently playable in the game.
Two new characters were released recently, with one female character – Yae Miko released on February 16, 2022, and one male character – Kamisato Ayato, released on March 30, 2022.
That really depends on your taste and feeling about every female character in the game.
But these are considered 8 best female character designs and earn a lot of popularity among players.

Venti’s a boy, although his english VA is a girl who does a very nice job at voicing him, not gonna lie. Venti‘s body is portrayed as a male, after taking the form of a frien.
Despite his supposed clumsy nature, Zhongli is a very serious man who for thousands of years took care of Liyue and those who lived inside of it.
Zhongli is the God of Contracts who values fairness over everything else.
